Year 2 had the opportunity to go and plant vegetables and a range of native British plants down at Giltbrook Retail Park last Friday thanks to the Wildlife Trust. If you’re down there shopping, make sure you check out our planting areas between IKEA and Decathlon. Well done Year 2.
Year 2 have been chosen to create a garden down at Giltbrook Retail Park over the next few weeks. We have been prepping bird feeders, seed bombs and making bug hotels ready for our projects. We had lots of fun doing it! Well done Year 2!
We made the most out of the wonderful weather recently and had a reading session outside. We were very grown up and some of us even got to move up a book band. Well done Orangutan class!
We made the most out of the weather last week and watched the thunderstorm. Then we had a mini lesson to understand what makes thunder and lighting. We were all very sensible and showed Mr Fowkes how grown up we all are.
Well done everyone!
Our new topic is all about famous explorers so as a start of topic treat we had an exploration day at school where we created our own hats, had a treasure hunt and had to crack a code. What a brilliant day!
We learned all about Fairtrade and the origins of chocolate in our PSHCE lesson last week. We even got to try some as a special treat!
Year 2 watched a wonderful production of ‘The Jungle Book’ today with the rest of the school. We had a great time singing along to the songs and laughing at the characters. We sat brilliantly throughout the entire show. Mr Fowkes and Miss Atkin are very proud of you all. Well done Orangutan Class.
